Freeze Farm

The Freeze Farm in Canby, OR was built in 1900, and is one of the few houses on the Historic Register in Clackamas County. This simple, hard-working Queen Anne Victorian farmhouse was in need of a full interior upgrade and a total refresh of the exterior finishes. Gusto Design Studio redesigned the kitchen, living room, and library, and added a new powder bath and solarium dining room on the main level. Gusto reconfigured the upstairs to add two bathrooms, and created a new primary suite with a sunporch. Working from old photos of the house and historic catalogs, we reintroduced many of the Victorian details and flair that had been lost over time, adding whimsy and character back into the home while also creating functional spaces that support living on a modern working farm and country hospitality.
